Atlas 4x4 Ironman Platform Racks

The Atlas 4x4 Ironman 4x4 platform racks are expertly designed with extruded aluminum crossbars mounted within an extruded aluminum perimeter. Designed with crossbars running perpendicular to the vehicle, they make loading and securing cargo easier, significantly reducing the risk of taller items falling and damaging your vehicle's roof.

These platform racks are ideal for carrying a variety of accessories and loads, including gas bottles, gas cans, bags and soft luggage, spare tires, and chainsaws. Atlas platform racks are available in three different lengths and widths, with a total of six different configurations, ensuring you can use them to suit your specific needs.

 

Capacity and weight

Full specifications can be found in the detailed "Specifications Table" below. Key to these platforms is that they are stronger than the maximum load capacity of any vehicle, including fiberglass or ABS canopies. For steel canopies, expect them to dynamically support at least 100 kg.

The weight of a complete platform kit, including all mounting hardware, ranges from 24 kg to 39 kg. It's important to subtract these weights from your vehicle's total roof load capacity as specified by the manufacturer!

 

No star signs on off-road

Unlike some manufacturers, the Ironman 4x4 Atlas has one rating that applies whether you're on blacktop, corrugated dirt roads, sand, or rocky trails.

 

Code system

Atlas platform racks attach to most vehicles via a reinforced stainless steel blade and can be mounted to an Ironman 4x4 awning using a mounting base.

Noise management

While roof racks will undoubtedly add some noise to your vehicle, the Atlas system has been tested and designed to minimize this as much as possible. A small, unobtrusive wind deflector is located under the front crossmember, and soft rubber inserts in the front and rear T-shaped vents further reduce wind noise. Additionally, the rack can be adjusted forward and backward by up to 20mm once fitted to find the optimal position.

To accommodate double-cab vehicles, we offer platform options suitable for cabs, awnings, and sliding electric vehicle body covers. Please note that a single platform should never extend over an awning and cab due to articulation and movement during transport and rough terrain.
