Atlas Roof Rack for LC300, Long

The Ironman 4x4 Atlas platform racks are constructed from extruded aluminum crossbeams mounted within an extruded aluminum perimeter. The racks are designed so that the crossbeams are perpendicular to the vehicle (side to side, not front to rear). This arrangement makes loading and securing cargo easier, with a much lower chance of longer items falling down and hitting the roof.

Platform racks are ideal for carrying a wide range of accessories and loads, including gas bottles and cans, luggage and soft luggage, spare tires, and chainsaws.

 

Platform racks are available in three different lengths and three different widths, for a total of six different configurations, to ensure the use that suits your needs.

 

Capacity and weight

Full specifications can be found in the aptly named "Specification Table" below. However, the gist of the matter is that these platforms will be stronger than any vehicle, fiberglass, or ABS roof load limiter. For steel roofs, you can expect them to dynamically support at least 100 kg.

The platform kit, including all mounting hardware, weighs between 24 kg and 39 kg. It's important to subtract these total weights from the total roof load specified by your vehicle manufacturer!

No single off-road rating: Unlike some manufacturers, the Ironman 4x4 Atlas has a single rating and applies whether you're on blacktop, corrugated dirt, sand, or rock.

Platform system

Atlas platform racks attach to most vehicles via a reinforced stainless steel blade and can be attached to an Ironman 4x4 awning via a mounting base.

There's no doubt that roof racks will add some extra noise to your vehicle. If someone tells you they have one that's "silent," they're confused; or they're mounted on the awning and can't hear the extra noise it makes in the awning. All options in the Atlas system have been tested and designed to minimize this noise as much as possible. A closer look reveals a small, unobtrusive, yet highly effective wind deflector under the front crossmember of our Atlas racks.

Additionally, soft rubber gaskets are provided in the front and rear T-shaped vents to reduce wind noise. Finally, the mount can be adjusted forward and backward by up to 20mm once installed to find the perfect fit!
