A new series of recovery plates called Reco-Traks is manufactured by one of the largest brands in the industry, TRED, in Brisbane, Australia. Reco-Traks are an updated design of TRED's popular GT series, featuring a more modern look and improved performance.
An added benefit of green is that they're easy to find once buried in sand or mud. Alternatively, the Reco-Trax is available in Tactical Grey, while if you're keen on full military spec (perhaps to add a finishing touch to your Dark Grey LC70), a set of Desert Sand Reco-Trax might be the finishing touch.
Strategically placed teeth: By researching hundreds of common off-road tire tread patterns, Reco-Trax teeth are strategically placed along the tread to increase grip.
concave slope: Performance improvements start with an optimized concave ramp design to help the tires easily absorb the ramp in and under your vehicle's rims.
Sand slope: Molded with a deep gutter, the end of each Reco Trax ramp is designed to be versatile and able to pull sand out from under the tires for optimal traction and to save yourself when you forget to pack your Ironman 4x4 shovel.
Streamlined design: The position and angle of the teeth across the board are designed to aid board entry and exit and allow the board to be easily rotated for either forward or reverse retrieve.
Lighter, lighter, stronger: The new Reco-Trax boards are also smaller for compact storage, lighter at just 6 pounds per board, and stronger for greater durability.
A simple and efficient design in the entry and exit forms allows panels to be joined together to create a single, longer section where greater momentum is required.
Storage on the car: To install the RecoTrax panels to your vehicle, a set of quick-release stainless steel mounting pins is included, capable of fitting up to four panels. These pins slot directly into the various T-slot channels, while a solid base plate is also available to allow for a range of other suitable mounting surfaces, such as roll cage racks.
