The Atlas 4x4 Ironman 4x4 platform racks are constructed from extruded aluminum crossbeams mounted within an extruded aluminum perimeter. The racks are designed so that the crossbeams are perpendicular to the vehicle (side to side, not front to rear). This arrangement makes loading and securing cargo easier, with a much lower chance of longer items falling down and hitting the roof.
The platform kit, including all mounting hardware, weighs between 24 kg and 39 kg. It's important to subtract these total weights from the total roof load specified by your vehicle manufacturer!
