Greaseable shackles allow for easy lubrication of polyurethane bushes. The serviceable design is made of thick steel and includes protected grease ports. This provides cost-effective insurance for the life of leaf springs. Ironman 4x4 Suspension was the first company in the world to recognize the importance of greaseable shackles and pin sets. The reason for introducing greaseable kits was that polyurethane bushes would provide extended life if lubricated. Ironman shackle and pin sets are a perfect match for Ironman polyurethane bushes and come complete with protected grease nipples, countersunk nuts, and washers. To improve their appearance and make them rust-resistant, Ironman greaseable shackle and pin sets are coated with a zinc-rich coating.
